Gemeente Leudal plaatst 113-plaquettes op zitbanken

Mayor Désirée Schmalschläger has championed a touching mental health initiative in the municipality of Leudal, where 16 public benches have been fitted with plaques promoting suicide prevention awareness. The plaques, bearing the message “A good conversation begins with truly seeing someone” along with a QR code linking to the 113 helpline, were inspired after Schmalschläger personally met with the family of a young resident who was lost to suicide. The initiative reflects the mayor’s compassionate approach to community well-being and her commitment to making mental health support more accessible throughout Leudal’s villages.
