Burgemeester Désirée Schmalschläger championed a community-driven mental health awareness project, responding to a family’s heartfelt request to make conversations about suicide more accessible. The initiative saw plaques installed on benches throughout Leudal’s villages, encouraging residents to reach out and connect with one another.
